Meet the Therapist Behind Our Restorative Body Massage Treatments

Pixi, the therapist behind restorative body massage treatments at Plume Skin in Brisbane

At Plume Skin, restorative care isn’t something we add on — it’s woven into how we approach skin health as a whole.

As we continue to expand our Restorative & Relaxation we wanted to properly introduce Pixi, whose hands, presence, and approach shape these new offerings.

Pixi brings together award-winning spa experience, a deep love of hands-on therapy, and a thoughtful understanding of how the nervous system, skin, and body intersect.

We asked Pixi a few questions about her work, her approach, and what restorative care means to her.

Is there a particular treatment you really enjoy doing?

I particularly enjoy our 60-minute Secondary Level Customised Facial paired with a 45-minute body massage. This combination allows my clients to experience a deeper level of relaxation while still receiving meaningful skin support.

I find that when the nervous system is properly calmed, the skin responds more readily to treatment, which in turn means excellent results. Clients not only see benefits in their skin, but they also leave feeling grounded, rested, and genuinely rejuvenated.

What do you personally love about offering hands-on, restorative work?

From the very start of my career, I realised that human touch is something that can’t be replaced. Even with the tools and technology available, hands-on therapy remains unmatched when it comes to true relaxation.

Clients often don’t realise how much they’re in need of hands-on care. Creating a space where someone can soften, let go, and feel supported is deeply meaningful to me. It’s a very special part of my work.

What do you notice happens in the body when people are given time to properly slow down?

It’s always incredible to witness how the body responds when it’s finally given permission to slow down and be in someone else’s care.

When the body reaches a deeper state of relaxation, tension begins to release – not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. This is what I strive for in my treatments… to create enough safety and stillness for the body and mind to let go of what they’ve been holding onto.

Who would benefit most from the Restorative Body Massage treatments?

Everyone! You don’t need to wait until you’re completely depleted to benefit from restorative care. These treatments are for anyone wanting to support their wellbeing more intentionally.

They’re especially well suited to those experiencing ongoing stress, burnout, fatigue, skin reactivity, or emotional tension – or for anyone who finds it difficult to fully switch off. Restorative massage offers a chance for the body and nervous system to settle before things feel overwhelming.

What do you hope clients feel when they leave a restorative treatment with you?

Our restorative treatments are all about dedicating time back to yourself – time that’s often overlooked or postponed.

My hope is that clients leave feeling nurtured, supported, and more connected to themselves, both emotionally and physically. When the nervous system feels settled and anchored, the mind often becomes clearer too. That sense of calm, groundedness, and reconnection is what I aim to create in every treatment.
